Locked out of heaven(FFXI)

Edit:I didn't even notice, hanako kun update and new bear collab cafe. Red house search!!! Poor Nene went missing. The happiness cover was so goooooood. The dreamy occult heroine part was really good, too. I love her silliness. All the skulls on her dress, crown and wand. I heard people say that Kou-kun is possessed and taking her to hanako. The big hanako hug was chef kiss. She is spilling the truth to him. Uh oh, girlie is in troubleeeeeeeee.
I woke up very early, decided to play ffxi for a bit, and my laptop c port went out again, ahhhh. The curse of lenovo, so now my mornings will be so empty without it. I had no energy to do anything because of the sleep problems. I got 99 problems, but sleep is one. I was hunting for some pants to borrow and saw a medium-sized spider pop out. Dude and I were scared of each other. I felt bad I had to kill it, but I can only handle small spiders on the house. I am a big freaking chicken with bugs. I found the perfect pin to put on my fanny. I chose the pin from Two Sides fanzine volume two to wear. Big and too cute.
I barely missed the first bus. Furthermore, the trip was going pretty okay until..........some guy had to sit next to me. It was annoying how he kept putting his elbow in my space as he was writing. The last straw was when he tried to sneakily put his arm around me. I get trying to shoot your shot, but I don't understand why do it to a stranger who isn't even paying attention or talking to you. I am so glad that this problem is pretty rare for me, but geez louise. He even told me to have a good day as I moved like a cheetah to get off that bus. I saw an e scooter in the bus stop trash can as I passed by. I stopped for pumpkin spice chai at a local coffee chain until I caught another bus. As I was getting off, the driver told me to be safe and waved at me three separate times. Once as I was leaving, once as I was on the platform, and once as he was leaving. It was very funny, I appreciate all the waves.
They must not have had enough normal buses, so they used a DIRT for the second bus. I like when they do that because the regular buses can get pretty packed sometimes. The walk was the same old thing. As I was coming up to the offices of the head honchos, head honcho 2 asked if my fanny was new or was it there last week. Head honcho 1 came in, and I told them that I liked the corn photo prop because she was one of the ones to make it. She wanted to see if people were using it. I made sure to inform them that I did, plus the groups yesterday were too. She left a few minutes later. Head honcho 3 asked how I liked my gamecube. I had to break the news that I have to wait to buy a flippydrive. Head honcho 2 offered to look for his gamecube games in storage since he kept some. I told him about the crazy game selling bubble. I finally got to ask the question on my mind:Are we moving in November? Nope, they just needed someone over there since it is a working office. Some cooling part is taking 4 weeks to come in and stuff like that. We wouldn't be moving until late December or January. I jokingly questioned about the revolving door of warehouse staff and that I didn't even recognize any minus the long-lasting ones. I told them about yesterday and how I will get in trouble for sassiness. Head honcho 2 jested that I was keeping him in line. He was nice, but some warehouse staff have been dicks to volunteers from what I heard. It would be an eye for an eye if it was one of them. Head honcho 2 got reminded and started to tell us this story. He had his truck parked next to some guy who did a shitty parking job. Because of how terrible the guy did, the guy came up to him fuming in the store. The guy couldn't get in his truck. Apparently, the guy was dressed like a youth pastor. Guy stormed off after a rant, and the poor staff didn't want to have deal with him when he came back later. Guy was still in the parking lot when head honcho two got done shopping. He seems to be too busy ranting to five tweakers in a car next to his. That's really sad, lol. There is a reason that we have this term "Dest-crazy".
As I got to my station and said hi to a few people, dry goods lady stated that she saw me walking yesterday, but couldn't get over to give me a ride. She asked if I walked all the way from there, I said yes, and she told me that she would keep an eye out for me in the future. That's really sweet of her. Todd came over, and we got on the topic of the January move date. The two were surprised to hear this since they were told an earlier date. We agreed that they shouldn't have closed indoor shopping. I spent my time building boxes, doing my thing. I overhead the conversation that one of the fellow volunteers is glad the banana bread maker volunteer didn't tell anyone else about it so she can have the last piece. Evelyn(It's what I'll call the lady who gives me a ride to the bus stop) got help, so she left early. I stayed behind to finish the boxes. I listened to Missing in Arizona & music to kill the time. The nearly empty warehouse is my favorite time to be there. I had piles of boxes to break down and put in the recycle bin. I headed out around 3 pm.
It turns out that my Two Sides digital zine arrived in my email inbox a few minutes after I left. The first bus back was filled to the brim. It seemed to stop at every stop. I can't remember which one of them, but someone bought their kitten on the bus. So cuteeeeeeeeeeeeee. The second bus is where I saw the Rail Bouncer arrive at the station. One day, I'll try to take it on a trip. A white van did a very risky driving move in front of us. I swear they get really lucky that they don't get hit. More traffic again, but I didn't mind with the clouds and the drizzle.

Edit:I noticed that they are looking for a volunteer receptionist for the new building starting November 5. I also signed up for the stadium and event grounds holiday distributions.
I took a quick bath, but my hair was more messy than usual. I called the connect van to pick my lazy self up. I saw five hot balloons in the air during the ride. It dropped us off at the curb that the buses use when there is another bus at their spot. Very unusual spot for once.
I got stuck on the yanky seats because I didn't want to sit in the back on the first bus. There was a bit of traffic on the way there, I thought I would be late and my stomach was beating me up. Some dude was getting off the bus and told the security guard to get a better job. I barely made it to the second bus on time. It was another day of fearing for my life on my walk over. I noticed some syringes on the ground near some businesses. That's a rare sight. I saw three trucks waiting to be let in the food bank unloading area.
I headed in and asked for a locker key. It felt very weird since I hadn't asked that question since May. I went to say hi to the NFH staff if any were around, and they were gone. I saw some of the Tuesday crew, one looked familar. On the way back to the front, some electric company worker was searching for someone and was trying to explain who he was to me. He mentioned he was deaf and I had to slowly lip that I don't work there because I talk too fast sometimes. One of the other staff Emma came out to chat with him. I think I overheard that he was looking for the NFH to talk to people about electric financial assistance. I saw the best thing ever! It was a corn photo prop. Two of the fb staff made it, I recognize one of the names. She is one of the nfh staff. People started to file in a bit after. I looked like a wierdo because I got too shy to ask people to take a pic of me in the corn. I asked Emma, who came back out because she is in charge of the announcement plus taking us to our task for that day. She is the Manager of Volunteer Programs. One of the other volunteers up there with me told me that I could have asked any of her group, and they would have done it. This volunteer saw that the new building is looking for a volunteer receptionist and was asking about that. I replied that I knew, but I felt bad. I got my picture, I can't remember if I had to remember to sign in before or after this and said hi to one of the nfh head honcho passing by.
The morning announcements were they had a fall festival party for the staff a few days ago, the crowd was mainly made up of two groups: some radiologic technologist association members and workers of some electrical software(???) company, the corn photo prop was made for either the fall festival or one of their partner/big donator visit, we lucked out sorting Serrano peppers because a previous group finished it, so we had to sort and bag apples instead. We had to dress up in gloves and a gown. Someone tied mine, and I did the same to his. I also helped another, too. I decided to redo mine since it wasn't tight enough for my tastes. I probably have seen him around before, but the guy who was in charge of us was one I didn't know. The warehouse staff is like a revolving door. I could hear him one on one, but it was impossible to hear him on a group with the fan running and how quiet his voice is. I heard 1/4 of it and had to wing it
I found a table with one other person who was alone like me. It is always nice to find a singular volunteer like me. She informed me that the last time she was there was last year. She felt bad that she didn't volunteer more. We talked about all sorts of things. She is a local, which is rare. All the food bank drama, the crazy drivers on the certain stretch of road, crazy reckless pedestrians, the city compared to other ones and topics like that. I was telling her about the door drama. She replied, "Oh, it must be because things like door fly screens." I laughed loud and said that the fb definitely doesn't have those.
I tried to say hi to Theodore. He is some warehouse higher up. He was too busy chatting with another volunteer and headed out. My fellow table person went out for a quick break, and then one of the food bank staff joined us. Eventually, it turns out that the me and my fellow volunteer were doing it totally wrong a bit. We should have just flipped it over and took out the bottom to put them in. My dumb ass couldn't tell if they were good anyway since they were all funky. The fellow volunteer had experience due to picking her neighbor tree.
In sequel, it was getting time for our shift to end. My fellow volunteer was confused about where to leave the unfinished boxes. Before I could answer, she called over the boss. He told us to keep it on the table for the staff member there, which I figured. He also mentioned that in the future, we should put the box back on the pallet while looking at me and her. I already knew so, I replied that I have been a volunteer for 3 years, and I know this. I also gestured for him to shoo. We didn't have to really clean since the table was still occupied. The other groups took care of the sweeping. We throw away the grown. I thanked the boss and headed out. The lady told me that she enjoyed working with me and we parted ways.
I stopped for some lemonade at a chain bakery. They changed it to agave only, and it was gross. I continued my trip back, or well, one street over to the bus stop. I barely missed the first bus. It was packed, but the ride didn't last long. The second bus was also full. I eventually got to stare out the window in the bike rack area like a book cover. I finally got the spot I wanted. It was a little too late, but it's what it is. I later got my RE1 remake gamecube discs.

Edit: I just got the mass email that everything in the warehouse is changing, apparently. "You are one of our key volunteers.". I never understood why they consider me such a special volunteer in the first place. It continues with the fact that there has been many rumors and miscommunications. I personally never heard anything like that with the warehouse since I rarely volunteer there. The food bank is changing the way they give food to their partner agency network to get food to people who need it faster. They plan to do this by two ways. 1: Since produce and bread sit a number of days at the warehouse, they have started up some direct deliveries of grocery rescue products from retail sites to the agency partners. So, there will be only random sorting for bread and produce when one of their partner doesn't have the space to take the direct donation. 2: In the past, one of their partners would place an order from them and get whatever they had. Now, they want to build orders using specific allocated products instead. The orders will vary every moment, and yada yada yada.
Basically, it doesn't affect me at all. I did see the Thanksgiving/holiday distribution shifts are coming soon on the sign up portal. I'll probably go back to one near me.
I had to go into my closet to figure out why the light was off. It was unfortunately out and is a pain to fix since it is held up by four screws. I am proud of myself! I finally unlocked the ability to have a support job! My girlie will finally be a black-white mage. It just sucks that 11 will be having maintenance soon for the new update. I made sure to tell my former ffxi addict pal about it. I saw that my Gamecube was arriving today. It is a Japanese orange one that only plays North American discs now. As I was getting ready to leave, I thought I lost my ID, and I panicked until I checked my fanny. I called for the Connect van and waited.
The app was a mess for one dude. He ordered the van, it came to him, and there was some confusion. He got dropped off, it sent the van to me, and then he popped up again. I felt pity because he was late because of it. I did agree with his comment that the city doesn't care about us, and they act like we don't exist. You even see this in murals around the city. The new driver even thought the app was a strange mess. The first bus was fine, but felt like it was behind every red light. I saw the other area connect van chilling in a parking lot. On the walk to the second bus, I had a car accidentally push her foot on the pedal while I was crossing the street. It scared the macaroni out of me. It scared the macaroni out of me. I froze up because I thought I would turned into road kill. The second bus was also fine.
I had Arciela theme in my head during my walk. I think I got catcalled from a truck driving by lol during this time. Since my ears kind of suck, I didn't exactly hear what he said, but I could tell it was something like "Damn girl." It's so funny when I get catcalled since it rarely happens. It felt like life was very slow today since melatonin messes me up. It's great to help me sleep, but morning grogginess is rough. I didn't stop for some coffee.
I finally made it, still early. The volunteer receptionist who is fond of me was giving out autumn cookies to people he likes and I got lucky. I saw a sign on the window about a local chain furniture store and a local pumpkin patch, "With a minimum donation of $5, enjoy the perfect pumpkin and 100% of the proceeds benefit the food bank". Now, that's sounds like pumpkins that give back(It's the name of the donation drive). I am always mixed on corporations' involvement in the food bank, but at least they are local, and it's 100% of the proceeds. I observed a teacher who wanted to know if they could order pizza and have it delivered there for their school group. The front desk got a bit busy, so I headed off to my shift.
I chatted with one of the head honcho. I warned him that I might leave early if my gamecube came early, he understood and we talked about video games. He Isn't into gaming like he used to be and doesn't really care for modern gaming. He has been playing silent hill at his friend's house recently. I mentioned my psp, and he told me that he used to have one when he was younger until his mom broke it for him being on it 24/7. He questioned if there is still people modding for the vita. I informed him that there still is, and there is a whole reddit community for it. He believes the dreamcast is the coolest of that era. I do agree with that. I did notice it on the schedule a few days ago, but he mentioned that the dry goods lady was out this week, so her assistant was around. He couldn't remember if he was one of the Mennonites.
I went to start my shift and ran into Todd. He was just finishing up and informing me about the boxes this week. I was really surprised to see that they had the boxes with the logo for once, and I commented about this to him. He also mentioned that he wasn't the one making the sample boxes. I think I sort of knew, but I didn't pay it much mind. I even wrote a thank you one week for it, lol. He used to make it when they only had to make small amount of boxes and, dry goods lady took over the task and still calls it Todd's amazon box. Back to the logo boxes, I haven't seen them since either last year or the year before. It felt so retro, I even went back to tell the head honcho, and I got permission to take one home! I also mentioned that the assistant is definitely one of the Mennonites. I went back to Todd, and he was finally heading out the door and told me good luck
I don't really remember much about building boxes minus a few things. I did such a different and weird way of putting stuff in the boxes. I didn't put like 12 cans on the cart. I was grabbing the boxes of each item and fishing them out from there. I had help getting the boxes from the assistant, and it was really nice not to be searching around for them. I saw one of the other head honcho pass by and said hi to her. I saw one of the warehouse staff members, and we said hi to each other. I mentioned the stupid change, and he said something along the line that he wasn't going to say something to them and he's just going to do his job. It was funny how stupid we think these new changes are. I later ran into another staff member who said hi to me and joked that I was in charge of the area right now. I told the lady who gives me a ride that I didn't need one this week, and I offered to help her clean later. She said no as usual. The total number of boxes today was 86. Even though she wasn't here this week, I still tried to "organize.". There was also a big pile of boxes to break down. I even tried to save some that have my terrible tearing open skills for the cover for the banana boxes and notes. Todd told me about this earlier, so now I know. I told the lady goodbye and see her next week. I went to tell the head honcho the box info, and he told me to enjoy my new gamecube. One of the other head honcho went to his office, and I told him about my new gamecube. The first head honcho asked what games I had coming for it as I was leaving. I replied none, because I am going to mod it. I ordered a lyft, and while I was waiting, the receptionist handed out the volunteer receptionist cookies to anyone because he was gone. I took a lyft home just in case. It came 20 minutes after I got home. It's in great condition! I think it's really cool how it has a handle. I just need a cord to hook it up to my modern tv. I plan to wait until April to buy the flippydrive to mod it. My next goal is to buy a dreamcast next since code veronica prices on gc is a big yikes.
